Rolando McClaim retired at age 23

The football career of former Alabama linebacker and 1st round draft pick Rolando McClain has come to an end at the  young age of 23. McClain, a former All-American for the Crimson Tide and No. 8 overall pick for the Oakland Raiders, announced through the Baltimore Ravens on Wednesday that he will retire from football after a career plagued by disappointment on the field and legal issues off the field."Rolando let me know that he plans to retire from the NFL," Ravens General Manager Ozzie Newsome said in a statement released by the Ravens. "We have placed him on the Reserve/Retired list."McClain signed a one-year deal with the Ravens on April 12th and was arrested just 10 days later in his hometown of Decatur it was his third arrest since December of 2011.Over his career.
