After three seasons with the New England Patriots, former Alabama defensive tackle Brandon Deaderick is looking for a new team.Deaderick was one of two players released today, as the Patriots made room for two new player : rookie wide receiver R.J. Mattes and former Auburn offensive guard Tyronne .The release of Deaderick was viewed as a surprise to multiple people who cover the Patriots. The former seventh-round draft pick played in 14 games last season, starting five late in the year, and had 14 tackles, one sack and forced two fumbles.
For his career, Deaderick, 25, has seen action in 34 games with 14 starts. He has 51 total tackles, five sacks and two forced fumbles.Deaderick was set to make $630,000 in 2013.
